The objective of Intelligent Transport System Association of Malaysia are as follows:
1. To facilitate knowledge and information exchange among ITS members, designers, integrator, suppliers, investors, engineers, and decision makers through seminars, workshops and conferences.
2. To assist and provide inputs to the public sector agencies on the policy, funding and deployment of ITS programs.
3. To facilitate and foster multi-disciplinary partnerships among public and private sectors for the research, development, demonstration, deployment and integration of ITS technologies.
4. To assist in the development of standards, guidelines and specifications relating to ITS interfaces, performance measurements and technology evaluation.
5. To facilitate and assist Malaysia ITS industries through liaisons, collaborations, cooperation and exchange with foreign government agencies and ITS related associations and industries.
6. To serve as focal point for exchange of ideas to ITS in Malaysia to promote membership and encourage participant of Malaysians in the research, development and deployment of ITS programs.
7. To encourage, assist member’s participation in the activities of ITS within and outside Malaysia.
